Game Art
Game Art & Design is for those who love to draw and who have a burning interest in video games. Overall, you are interested in how art can enhance and create living, beautiful and interesting characters and stories. Your creative and analytical potential will be challenged, and you will have the possibility to create your own portfolio.
At first you will learn how to make pixel art and digital drawings. Following this you will focus on making concept art, assets and other art and design used in video game development. In addition, you will learn about animation and about working within the parameters and limitations of game art. |
Collaboration with Game Design
Throughout the year you will collaborate both with the Game Design class (Spilldesign) on several projects where you will make games together, both in the shape of short game jams and some longer game projects. The two classes work together to create the game concept, appearance and gameplay. As a Game Art student you will make visual assets and animations that are needed in the games, while the Game Design (Spilldesign) students put these assets together into a game.
You will also collaborate with several other lines at the school, who among other things will be contributing with game assets such as voice acting and game music for the games that are made throughout the year.
