Develop your own sound! In main subject Sound you will learn creative and practical work with recording, live sound, music production, DJing and soundArt. Good possibilities to work professionally in our well equipped studio and to create projects in collaboration with the other main subjects at Sunnhordland folk high school.

Sound technique
Specialize as a technician in studio and for the stage. Learn the fundamentals of sound theory in connection to studio practice. Workshops in sampling, sound synthesis, sound for video, mixing and Midi – programming. Good possibilities for developing as a musician.

Sound in collaboration
You will learn to produce music and sound for varied purposes; sound for concerts, sound for theatre and dance productions, music videos, experimental projects in collaboration with main subject Visual Art.

Room for Sound
The studio is equipped with retro style mixer, Mac and good microphones. In additions there are two other rooms with work stations at your disposal. We use these programs: Cubase, Logic, Ableton and Final Cut.
You are also advised to bring your own instruments and equipments.
