Join us in creating theatre and film! Experience the excitement, the heath from the theatre lights, and the satisfaction you will get from acting together with your fellow students. We wish to give you a good foundation in the art of theatre, and to provide for you to develop your creative abilities on and off stage, as well as behind and in front of the camera.

Acting
Explore the different elements in the craft of theatre, first and foremost through practical work. You will increase your skills in acting, directing, lighting design and scenography. You will work in various dramatic genres and get many challenges as an actor. Some of our performances will be created in close collaboration with teachers and students from other of the school‘s main subjects.

Film
You will create one or more short films during the year. Here you will learn the use of the video camera and film editing, as well as acting for the camera.

Theatre and film for you
You can join our course with little or much previous experience. What is important is that you are motivated to work with Theater & film. We aim at creating a good and creative work atmosphere where you really can develop as an actor.

Room for theatre
Sunnhordland folk high school has a "black box" theatre with a flexible lighting rig. We have video camera and programmes for editing film. The school is beautifully situated by the sea.
